A Time to Reflect & Celebrate
While 2021 has certainly come with its challenges, at New Castle Lawn and Landscape we have been blessed to work with wonderful customers and a team we consider our “work” family. We’ve also happily achieved and have celebrated some wonderful achievements along the way.
While we believe in giving our all to each and every project we tackle, we also believe in taking time for ourselves and for family. After all, balance is what helps to make us our best selves – something especially important to keep in mind during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. To that end, we’re sharing some tips we love with you…
- Manage your expectations. Be realistic about what you can and cannot do and give yourself the gift of grace and saying “no” if you need it.
- Ask for help. Don’t think you have to tackle it all yourself. There is often a friend or family member that would happily help if you just reach out and ask.
- Make time for self-care. You may have heard it: self-care is NOT selfish. Take the time to do things you love, too. Perhaps it’s 30 minutes of reading a book before bedtime. Maybe you make plans to watch a movie you love. Or, treat yourself to your favorite meal. You deserve it!
- Talk it out. Stressed? Depressed? Both are normal feelings. The holidays are not all joy 24/7 for everyone. If you’re feeling down, it may help to reach out to a friend and to just express yourself.
- Dare to dream. Don’t forget to take time to daydream, and perhaps make those dreams a reality. Map out a plan to save up for a bucket list vacation. Plan a home project you’d like to tackle. Think about what might help increase the amount of joy in your own life.
